A Message from HUD

JUST RELEASED FROM HUD!

The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) recently revised its HUD-92564-CN Form urging prospective homebuyers to obtain a home inspection prior to purchasing a new home.

In the past, real estate agents were encourged to inform buyers of the benefits of an inspection. However, HUD is now recommending that any application for pre-qualification from mortgage companies and FHA / VA / HUD Housing Authorities now provide this valuable information to their applicants.

According to the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI), the new flyer "commands the attention of homebuyers, prompting them to stop and think seriously about getting a home inspection."  The Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) also praises this as a strong, positive message to the Hispanic homebuyer market.
